SOLD!
May 11So we finally did it today. We saw a house, put in an offer, and — after some negotiation — have conditonaly bought a house. This just happens to come on the same day that a “SOLD” sign appeared on our own front lawn. We paid more than we really wanted to, and more than the house was worth, but the market is going up. It’s a bit of a seller’s market out there, and in the end we paid what the seller wanted. He made some concessions too, like including all the appliances.
So now the fun begins… we have a week to get our financing in gear and get a home inspection done. Jen and I are both a little freaked out about the enormity of the decision we’ve just made, but will deal with it in time. We prayed for God’s leading, and he did not shut the door on this one. Aidan, of course, slept through the whole thing.
